He says that his stances about how much he is going to allow have changed within the past decade, since he is now a father himself, and more aware of the bad influence Internet can have on children. He followed up with a longer Twitter post where he defended his stance, and straight up said that he doesn't really care about freedom of expression of Nazis and doesn't think that everything should fly in the game even for the paying customers. It started with a poll (which is strongly in favor of banning Nazi servers as a positive thing) but his wording pretty strongly implies that he has made up his mind about them. To make things clear, nothing has been banned yet, as they are trying to appeal to server owners to self-moderate before they have to enforce content bans more forcefully. They have usually claimed they are just "world war 2 roleplay", but it seems that the developers are finally getting worried about their popularity. ![]() Youtube has tons of videos of trolls goofing on the servers made and run by Nazi larpers, and the chud communities around them have existed for years. Like many other games and communities like it, it has had a far right problem for a long time. In case of people unaware, Garry's Mod is a sandbox game allowing people to set up their own highly customizable online servers for variety of games with their own mods.
